Trafalgar offers "optional tours" which are necessary if you are completely unaware of how to get around because otherwise you are stuck in the hotel. Being too tired and intimidated to explore we went on the first optional tour. A guide took us to the Campidoglio to see an amazing view of the Roman Forum.
We walked down Via Giulia where we saw this 17th century hippy fountain (as The Lonely Planet called it).
We walked to Piazza Farnese, Campo di Fiori, and then to Piazza Navona where we got a bite to eat on the Piazza (usually a no-no since these restaurants are usually really pricey and touristy). In hindsight we should have followed The Lonely Planet to La Foccacia which was super close to the Piazza Navona and so amazingly delicious, but we'll get to that on Day 8. The Fountain of the Four Rivers in the middle of Piazza Navona is easily one of my favorites.
We drove by the sights at night. This optional tour was worth it since it acquainted us with the city.

OMG Jealous!!
Gotta love those Gian Lorenzo Bernini fountains/sculptures! Bernini is my all-time most favorite! I wish I could have been his lover and muse.
